How do I get there?

• If you are traveling to Sol Duc Hot Springs Resort:

- Once you arrive in Seattle via plane or train, it is recommended that you take a bus or small plane to Port Angeles, Washington. Companies used by past employees include:

- Kenmore Air www.kenmoreair.com
- Olympic Bus Lines www.olympicbuslines.com

- We will pick you up in Port Angeles and bring you into the Park as long as you let us know your arrival times. Please click to e-mail us to confirm a pick up time prior to your arrival in Port Angeles.

• If you are traveling to Kalaloch Lodge:

- Once you arrive in Seattle via plane or train it is recommended that you take a bus or small plane to Port Angeles, Washington. Companies used by past employees include:

- Kenmore Air www.kenmoreair.com
- Olympic Bus Lines www.olympicbuslines.com

- You will then need to take a local bus from Port Angeles to Kalaloch Lodge. Information on the local bus schedules can be found at: www.jeffersontransit.com (it is possible to take Jefferson Transit from the SeaTac Airport as well – please visit their website for more information).

• If you are traveling to Lake Quinault Lodge:

- Once you arrive in Seattle, via plane or train it is recommended that you take a bus to Olympia, Washington. Companies used by past employees include:

- Greyhound Bus Lines www.greyhound.com

- You will then need to take a local bus from Olympia to Aberdeen and then on to Quinault. Information on the local bus schedules can be found at: www.ghtransit.com (Grays Harbor Transit).

• It is also possible to travel to all resorts through Portland, Oregon. It would then be recommended that a bus be taken through Olympia, WA to Aberdeen, Forks, or Port Angeles and then on to the individual property. Companies used by past employees include:

• Driving directions can be obtained through your Contact Person. All Resorts are accessed via US HWY 101.

What am I REQUIRED to bring?

  • All employees must be able to present documentation to verify their eligibility to work in the United States – please visit http://uscis.gov/graphics/formsfee/forms/files/i-9.pdf for more information on acceptable documentation. 
  • For ARAMARK payroll purposes, all employees must also provide a valid Social Security Card.

What will my minimum uniform requirements include?

What type of non-uniform clothing should I bring?

Bring comfortable clothes for a variety of climates. Temperatures can range from in the 30’s in the spring and fall with high 80’s in the summer. We get plenty of rain, especially in the spring. A good set of raingear is recommended, especially for those planning to spend a great deal of time outside.

What else should I bring?

You are encouraged to bring any personal items such as music, books, and special foods.  It is not advisable to bring your desktop computer.  All belongings are the sole responsibility of the employee. ARAMARK will not be responsible for lost or stolen items.

What is there to do when you’re not working?

Explore your adventurous side at Sol Duc Hot Springs located deep within Olympic National Park. Fishing, wildlife viewing, and hiking are easily done from the resort. With a little planning, employees are able to explore other activities including rafting, sea kayaking, beachcombing, and so much more! 45 Miles away is the town of Port Angeles, WA which is the gateway to famous Victoria BC. Seattle easily can be explored on your days off as well with a little bit of a road trip. Also nearby, a short 45 Miles away the town of Forks, WA which offers some dining options and grocery shopping. Group activities will be planned at the resort for the enjoyment of its employees.

A plethora of outdoor activities abound at your base camp in the middle of Olympic National Park at Kalaloch. White water rafting, sea kayaking, surfing, world class Salmon and Steelhead fishing, wildlife viewing, hiking with close access to hiking in 3 diverse ecosystems indicative only to the Olympic National Park from costal beaches to rainforest to mountain climbing on Mt Olympus. 90 miles away is the town of Port Angeles, WA which is the gateway to famous Victoria BC. Seattle easily can be explored on your days off as well with a little bit of a road trip. The closest town to Kalaloch is the town of Forks, WA which offers some dining options, nightlife and grocery shopping. Nearby Aberdeen and Port Angeles and Ocean Shores are larger cities that offer more variety for shopping. Group activities and Ranger lead programs will be planned throughout the summer to bring the Kalaloch team together.

Spend time getting to know Olympic National Forrest and Olympic National Park easily from Lake Quinault Lodge. Employees are able to enjoy hiking, fishing, wildlife viewing, kayaking, canoeing, and other activities easily from their base camp at Lake Quinault Lodge. 45 Miles away are the towns of Aberdeen, Hoquiam, and Ocean Shores. All offer dining options, grocery shopping, and some nightlife. Seattle and Portland can easily be explored on days off with a bit of a road trip.

Where can I go shopping or get groceries?

Each resort has a small mercantile store which sells some groceries and other supplies and necessities. 

From Sol Duc Hot Springs, you have a choice between the towns of Forks, Washington and Port Angeles, Washington.  Both towns are approximately 42 miles away from the resort.  More information on Port Angeles can be found at www.portangeles.org.  More information on Forks can be found at www.forkswa.com.

From Kalaloch Lodge, the nearest town is Forks, Washington.  Forks is located approximately 30 miles away.  More information on Forks can be found at www.forkswa.com.

From Lake Quinault Lodge, the nearest towns are Aberdeen, Hoquiam, and Ocean Shores, Washington.  Aberdeen is located approximately 45 miles away.  More information on Aberdeen and other towns in Gray’s Harbor County can be found at www.graysharbor.org.

Will I get cell phone service?

Unfortunately, cell phones do not work on property.  However, you are able to get full service once you are in range of a larger town (Forks, Port Angeles, etc.).

How can I cash my paychecks?

Pay checks are distributed on a bi-weekly basis.  You may set up direct deposit with ARAMARK (this usually takes 3 – 6 weeks to activate), other options include mailing your check to your home bank, or cashing your check somewhere in town. The resort will not cash your paycheck.  Please be sure to have enough money to support yourself until your first payday.  It may take up to three weeks before your first pay day.

Can I bring my car?

Yes, you may bring your car to the resort.

How will I get around the area (if I don’t have a car)?

At Sol Duc Hot Springs Resort it is recommended that employees car-pool with other employees to town as needed.

At Kalaloch Lodge the local bus service makes several stops at the mercantile daily, heading in the direction of the towns of both Forks and Aberdeen, Washington.  It is also recommended that employees car-pool with other employees to town as needed.

At Lake Quinault Lodge the local bus service makes several stops at the area mercantile daily heading in the direction of the towns of Aberdeen, Hoquiam, and Forks.  It is also recommended that employees car-pool with other employees to town as needed.
